So Cuil came online, going head to head with Google (who doesn't these days?) and they hit the web with a splash, followed by a 'thud'
Learning the hard lessons of high-traffic I guess. On the other hand I suspect they're getting pounded by curiosity seekers like myself. The few times I did get results, I was unimpressed by the results so far. Plus the graphics they choose to put by the entries are sometimes right on, some times very, very wrong.
Still, I see potential, but then again, ask.com has potential too, but people aren't flocking to it.
Time will tell.
