Acer buys Gateway? 

 I just listened to an NPR podcast and seem to miss the Acer purchase of Gateway.  My buddy John likened it to "the horrible purchases the awful" but I have a soft spot for Gateway. They had reasonable products and good ideas, but never seemed to be able to put themselves over the top.  Oh well, another US PC companies goes to china.   $710m dollars is a lot more than I thought Gateway's value would be.
